The SETTLER'S CABIN is a large log and fachwerk cabin and has sleeping accommodations both upstairs and downstairs. A porch wraps halfway around the cabin providing a comfortable place to let the cares of the world melt away. The living room has a large limestone rock wood-burning fireplace. Two chairs are placed to enjoy the fireplace and the satellite television/DVD. An antique harvest table has four unique chairs made of hides and horns, which are exact replicas of Theodore Roosevelt’s chairs at his hunting lodge in Montana. A stove top, coffeemaker, toaster, and small refrigerator are found in the kitchenette. An awesome antique wood door opens into the downstairs bedroom which includes the television. An iron queen-size bed is placed to overlook the large alluring whirlpool tub. The tub is framed with limestone rock and the water enters the tub through a waterfall found on the wall. An adjacent bath has Mexican tile and offers an over-size shower and pedestal sink.
You will enter through an outside stairway, which was common with the German Sunday houses. There are two twin-size beds and a bathroom with a shower and a small unique sink. Lots of room for down-home Texas comfort. Enjoy the Texas Hill Country from this convenient central location, or just stay at the ranch and enjoy the views and solitude. Price per night:
